County checks final subdivision map for errors

After a developer files the final subdivision map, the county sends it to agencies for review. The county checks that it matches the approved preliminary map and is technically correct. If there are mistakes, the developer is told within twenty days and gets a chance to fix them.

After the final plat and other data are filed, the director shall transmit copies of the final plat and other data to the reviewing agencies for review. Final plat shall be examined as to whether it is substantially similar to the approved preliminary plat, that the plat is technically correct, as well as to verify the information on the final plat by entering upon the respective subdivisions. If there are any errors or omissions, the subdivider shall be advised by the director within twenty days of filing of the changes or additions that must be made and afforded an opportunity to make corrections.
