Minimum street and pavement widths

The required width depends on the type of street and the area (urban, rural, or agricultural). Some streets have different rules if they are private or short dead ends.

Unless otherwise indicated in the Maui County general plan and community plans, any
standards in adopted business country town design guidelines, in any conditions of
zoning adopted by the council, or as approved by the department pursuant to section
18.20.105 of this title and consistent with the Maui County general plan and community plans,
the widths of streets and pavements in feet shall not be less than the minimums shown
in the following table:
