Appealing a Planning Decision

This section explains how to appeal a planning department decision about your subdivision. You must file a written appeal with the planning office within 15 days after the department mails you the decision. Your appeal must state exactly what you are challenging and why.

Appeal may be made to the board of variances and appeals from any decision, determination or requirement of the director or any department regarding this title by filing notice thereof in writing to the office of the department of planning within fifteen days after written notice of such decision or determination or requirement is mailed by the department to the subdivider. Such notice of appeal shall set forth in detail the action and the grounds upon which the subdivider is appealing. (Ord. No. 4053, § 63, 2013; Ord. 789 § 1 (part), 1974: prior code § 11-1.24(a))
