How historic districts are created or changed

This section explains the process for creating new historic districts or changing existing ones. The cultural resources commission must give a report to the state historic preservation division and hold at least one public hearing before any changes are made.

Historic districts may be modified or extended and new historic districts established, provided in all such cases there shall be a report from the cultural resources commission to the State department of land and natural resources, State historic preservation division.
