How to appeal decisions about cultural resources

This section explains where to appeal two types of final decisions. If the director made the decision, the appeal goes through the county's general appeal process. If the cultural resources commission made the decision, the appeal goes to the circuit court under state law.

Appeals from a final decision by the director under this chapter shall be heard in accordance with chapter 19.520 of this title. Appeals from a final decision of the cultural resources commission under this chapter shall be made to the circuit court in accordance with section 91-14, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes. (Ord.
