Prosecutor's office and its investigators

This section creates the county prosecutor's office. It lets the prosecutor hire investigators who act like police officers while doing their jobs. The office must set rules for training and using those powers, matching police department standards.

There is established a department of the prosecuting attorney as provided by law. The prosecuting attorney may appoint investigators who shall have all the powers and privileges of a police officer of the County while acting within the scope of their duties as investigators. The department of the prosecuting attorney shall adopt policies and standards regarding training and use of these powers consistent with, and in conformance to, those adopted by the department of police.
