Creating the county's affirmative action advisory council

This section sets up an affirmative action advisory council for the county. The mayor appoints seven members with council approval, plus two nonvoting members from county offices. Four members come from the community, and three from county government.

There is established an affirmative action advisory council of the county which shall consist of seven members, appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council, and two ex-officio members. Four appointed members shall be representatives from within the community of the county. Three appointed members shall be representatives of the county government. The two nonvoting, ex-officio members shall be the equal employment opportunity coordinator and the director of the department of personnel services of the county. (Ord. 1858 § 1 (part), 1989)
