Creating the County Commission on Children and Youth

This section creates a county commission on children and youth. It has nine voting members chosen by the mayor with council approval, plus one nonvoting member. The rules for how long members serve are the same as for other county boards.

A. Members. There is established a commission on children and youth of the County, which shall consist of nine members, appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council. A nonvoting, ex-officio member shall be appointed by the mayor. B. Terms—Appointed members. Section 13-2 of the revised charter of the County of Maui shall apply to the commission on children and youth in the same manner as the provisions apply to boards and commissions recognized by the revised charter.
