Rejected board nominees

If the mayor sends in a nominee who does not meet the legal requirements for a board, commission, or committee, that nomination is treated as if it never happened. The process starts over as if the mayor had not made the pick.

If the mayor submits the name of a nominee who is not eligible to serve on a board, commission, or committee, the submittal shall be deemed invalid. The nomination process shall proceed as if the mayor had not acted. (Ord. 3182 § 1 (part), 2004)
