Penalty for breaking the county ethics code

If someone is found guilty of breaking the county's ethics rules, they can be fined up to one thousand dollars for each violation. This section only sets the penalty; it does not list the ethics rules themselves.

Any person who violates any provision of the code of ethics of the county as contained in Article 10 of the Revised Charter of the County of Maui shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars for each violation.
