This section lets the county director get rid of county personal property that is worthless, like items worth less than it would cost to sell them. The director must set rules to make sure such property is recycled, put in a landfill, or destroyed.

The director may authorize the disposition of personal property that is worthless, including personal property with an estimated fair market value that is less than the estimated cost of selling it. The director shall establish standards and requirements so that worthless personal property is properly delivered to a recycling facility, placed in a landfill, or destroyed and discarded. (Ord.
