Applicants and developers must protect the County from claims

This section requires people who apply for or develop under the fast track housing process to protect the County from legal claims and costs related to their approvals or agreements. They also must have insurance that the County's lawyer approves.

Each applicant and developer shall be required to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the County from and against any claim, liability, loss, cost, expense, or cause of action arising out of or resulting from any approvals granted or agreements entered into relating to the fast track housing process established in this chapter. Applicant and developer shall be required to carry insurance with terms and limits deemed acceptable by the corporation counsel. ( Ord. No. 4941 , § 1, 2018)
