The county can inspect, fix, or remove any equipment connected to reclaimed water to make sure the rules are followed. If you refuse to let an inspector onto your property, the county may cut off your reclaimed water service right away.

A. To ensure that the provisions of this chapter and the applicable rules are observed, the department may inspect, and secure or remove, as necessary, any or all devices, including but not limited to, backflow preventers, valves, fittings, pipes, and sprinklers which connect to or control the reclaimed water. B. The refusal by a consumer to permit an authorized department employee or agent to enter on private property for the purpose of inspecting an irrigation system may result in the immediate discontinuance of the reclaimed water service.
