Public transit fares and how they are used

The fares to be collected for public transit services shall be set forth in the annual budget. The fares shall be deposited in the highway fund, as established by section 249-18, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes. Fares collected and deposited in the highway fund shall be used for purposes and functions connected with public transit services. (Ord. 3384 § 1 (part), 2006)
