Creating the special management area revolving fund

This section creates a special fund for money related to special management areas and shoreline setbacks. Fines, application fees, and other money like grants go into this fund. The fund is used according to the annual budget.

There is established and created a fund to be known as the "special management area revolving fund." Any civil fine collected pursuant to chapter 205A, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, shall be deposited in the fund. Application fees for special management area assessments and permits, and shoreline setback variances, collected by the department of planning shall also be deposited into the fund. The fund may also receive revenue from grants, donations, and other sources, as set forth in the annual budget. ( Ord. No. 4882 , § 2, 2018, eff. 7-1-2019)
