County public liability insurance

A.
The director of finance is authorized to procure public liability insurance:
1.
To cover any liability arising from the operation, maintenance or use of buildings,
roads, parks or other property owned, maintained or operated by the County, and County-conducted
programs and activities;
2.
To cover liability arising from the operation of vehicles owned or operated by the
County or the County's employees;
3.
To cover other liability exposures of the County, as deemed appropriate by the director
of finance. Such other liability exposures include but are not limited to liability
arising out of use of boats, errors and omissions liability of public officials, and
liability assumed in contracts with others;
B.
Amount of public liability insurance: the limits of liability insurance to be procured
under this section shall be established by the director of finance but shall be at
least $1,000,000 per occurrence for the types of liability insurance purchased.
