What a proposed ordinance must include

This section lists what a proposed ordinance for a special district must contain. It must describe the district, any changes to services or boundaries, and any new or changed special assessments. It also must say whether bonds will be sold to pay for improvements.

A proposed ordinance for consideration shall: 1. State the name of the district. 2. Describe the boundaries of the district. 3. Specify the proposed change to the supplemental services or improvements, the supplemental services or improvements to be financed, or the boundaries. 4. Specify whether the issuance and sale of bonds to finance any supplemental improvements is required. 5. Specify any proposed new special assessment that will be levied to finance new or existing supplemental services and improvements or payment of debt service for supplemental improvements. 6.
