Notice of special tax to land buyer or renter

Before selling or leasing land that has a special tax lien, the owner must tell the buyer or renter in writing about the tax and lien, including how the tax is calculated and the highest rate.

Before entering into an agreement to sell or lease a parcel of land subject to a special tax levy and lien, the parcel owner shall notify in writing the prospective buyer or lessee of the existence of the special tax levy and lien, including a description of the applicable special tax formula and maximum rate.
