Director can suggest ending a district early

The director may suggest to the council that a district be ended before its original end date, but only if it helps the public. The suggestion must include a proposed ordinance to end it early.

The director may recommend to the council that a district be terminated before the expiration of the term specified in the ordinance of formation. The recommendation shall be made if the director determines that the public convenience and necessity will be promoted by the early termination. A recommendation shall be accompanied by a proposed ordinance of early termination. ( Ord. No. 4947 , § 1, 2018)
