How county incentives are proposed and ended

This section explains when the county can offer business incentives in an enterprise zone. Incentives are proposed when the zone is first created or later changed. The county can limit them to certain businesses or time periods. If the county stops an incentive, it must tell the state, and the incentive ends when the state gets the notice.

A. County incentives shall be proposed at the time of initial application for the designation of a nominated enterprise zone or proposed as amendments to a previously designated enterprise zone. B. Proposed incentives may be made generally available throughout the zone, available only to certain types of businesses, available only for limited periods of time, or in any other manner permitted by law. C. Should the County be unable or unwilling to continue any approved county incentives, the mayor or the mayor's designated representative shall notify the DBEDT. On the date the notification is received by the DBEDT such incentives shall terminate. (Ord. 2376 § 1 (part), 1994)
