Fines for breaking lodging registration rules

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished
by a fine not exceeding twenty-five dollars; provided, however, that a separate offense
shall be deemed to have been committed for every day that any person, required by
Section 5.08.010 to keep a register, shall fail to keep such register, and for every day that any
guest is permitted to remain in any lodginghouse, roominghouse or hotel without being
required to register, as required by this chapter.
