No selling within 500 feet of a school during school hours

This rule bans selling things within 500 feet of any school on school days during school hours. School hours include one hour before and after classes. It does not apply to vending on school property with permission or to deliveries the school allows.

It is unlawful for any person to vend anywhere within a five-hundred-foot radius of any school on any school day during school hours. For purposes of this chapter, "school hours" includes the period from one hour prior to the commencement of classes to one hour after the end of the last class for that day. The distance from the school shall be measured from the closest point of the school property. Unless otherwise provided by law, this provision shall not apply to any vending which is conducted on the school premises and with the consent of the school authority, or to deliveries of food and other supplies requested or consented to by the school authority.
