As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this article: "Knowingly" means with knowledge, information. Knowledge may be based upon oral information or appropriate signs or posters posted upon the premises or areas. "Lawful authority" means permission or consent in writing from the department of water supply of the county to be on the premises or in the area. "Premises or areas" means any building, real property, river, reservoir, ditch or stream under the control, direction, or supervision of the department of water supply of the county for the purpose of water shed, reservoirs, water storage, ditches and pump and tank sites.
