Obscene materials are banned and fined

This law makes it a crime to knowingly make, sell, give, show, or possess obscene materials with the intent to distribute them. A person who breaks this law can be fined up to five hundred dollars.

Whoever shall knowingly print, sell, offer for sale, give away, exhibit or publish, or have possession, or under his control with the intent to sell, offer for sale or otherwise distribute any obscene book, pamphlet, magazine, paper, picture, image, cast, statuary, drawing, writing or presentation, or other article which is obscene, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars.
