Penalty for letting a child under 12 play or loiter on a prohibited county road

This section makes it a crime for a parent, guardian, or anyone in charge of a child under 12 to knowingly let that child play or hang around on a county road where this chapter says it's not allowed. If convicted, the fine is up to $50.

Any parent, guardian or person having the custody, control, or supervision of any child under the age of twelve years, who shall knowingly permit the child to play or loiter upon the portion of the public highway of the county where such playing or loitering is prohibited in this chapter, shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding fifty dollars. (Prior code § 22-2.3)
