Unlawful maintenance of property

This law makes it a crime to keep your property unsanitary. If the county sends you a written notice, you must start removing weeds, trash, or waste within 60 days. This rule does not apply to land in the state agricultural district.

A person commits the offense of unlawful maintenance of property if (1) the person's property is in an unsanitary condition; and (2) the person fails to commence removing weeds, trash or waste within sixty days after receiving a written notice as set forth in Section 9.32.040 . The provisions of this subsection shall not be applicable to property in the state land use agricultural district. (Ord. 1876 § 2 (part), 1990)
