Contracting for the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu

This section lets the council leader (or their chosen person) hire someone to revise, organize, and print city ordinances that should stay in effect. The result is called the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu. It only covers who can make this contract and what the final product is called.

The presiding officer of the council or the presiding officer’s designated representative shall be authorized to contract for the revision, codification, and printing of the ordinances of the city that are appropriate for continuation as law. Such codification shall be known as the “Revised Ordinances of Honolulu.”
