Special Transit Service

Until the special transit service can take everyone who qualifies, rides are given only when space is open. The department must offer rides by reservation, subscription, or call-in, and can make rules to run the service.

Until such time as the special transit service is adequate to serve all eligible persons, service shall be supplied on a space available basis. The department shall provide such service by either advance reservation, subscription, call response, or combination thereof as will most effectively meet the needs of ADA paratransit eligible persons. The department may adopt rules in accordance with HRS Chapter 91 to implement this section. )
