This article only covers city cars driven home by top agency leaders or their deputies. It does not cover other city workers, the mayor, or any use that isn't taking the car home. Other rules apply in those cases.

(a) This article applies only to the use of a city motor vehicle on a take-home basis by an executive agency head or deputy head. (b) This article does not apply to the following: (1) The use of a city motor vehicle by an executive agency head or deputy head on other than a take-home basis; or (2) The use of a city motor vehicle by any other city officer or employee, including the mayor. Other applicable law, ordinance, rule, or policy shall govern the use of a city motor vehicle in a manner described under this subsection.
