The city shall install solar photovoltaic systems in municipal buildings and facilities to the extent practicable to meet the city’s electrical demand. All solar photovoltaic systems installed at a city building or facility must be designed, erected, and installed in accordance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards. For the purposes of this article, “solar photovoltaic system” means any system that converts solar radiation to electricity.
