Getting approval before splitting or joining land

You must get approval from the director before you split or combine land. The plans must follow the rules of the planning commission and the water board. You cannot record a map of the split or combined land unless the director has given final approval.

(a) No person shall subdivide or consolidate any land, unless the plans therefor conform to this article and the regulations of the planning commission and the board of water supply, and have been duly approved by the director. (b) No person shall submit a map of a subdivision or consolidation of land for recordation or filing in the office of the registrar of conveyances or the assistant registrar of the land court, unless such map has been given final approval by the director. )
