This section explains what certain words mean in this chapter. It defines an Enterprise Zone as a special area in Honolulu set up under state law, and says a Qualified Business has the same meaning as in state law.

For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning. Enterprise Zone. An area within the City and County of Honolulu which has been declared an enterprise zone in accordance with HRS § 209E-4(a) and this chapter. Qualified Business. Has the same meaning as defined in HRS Chapter 209E.
