(a) Any person who violates § 40-8.8 shall be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000. (b) In addition, any threatened violation of this article, or of any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to § 40-8.8 (b) is declared to be a public nuisance and the corporation counsel shall institute such proceedings for injunctive or other civil relief as may be necessary to carry out the intent of this article. ; Sec. 13-36.10, R.O. 1987 Supp.)
