This section says how and when you must pay trash collection and disposal charges. You pay at the time of service or get a bill, which is due within 30 days. Late bills get interest, and partial payments go to interest first.

(a) Collection and disposal charges shall be paid at the time of disposal or billed monthly or bimonthly by the director of budget and fiscal services or the director’s designated billing agency, such determination to be made by the director. Charges billed shall be paid within 30 days after the date of the bill. (b) Billed charges not paid within 30 days shall become delinquent and shall be subject to interest at the rate of 1 percent per month for each month or fraction thereof that such charges remain delinquent. (c) If partial payment of a delinquent charge is made, the amount received shall first be credited to interest and then to principal. )
