How sewer bond money can be spent

Money put into the sewer revenue bond improvement fund can only be used to pay for fixing, repairing, or maintaining the wastewater treatment system. The city must approve this spending through its capital budget laws, and the money must be listed in those laws as coming from this fund.

Moneys deposited into the sewer revenue bond improvement fund shall be expended for the costs of improvements to, repairs to, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment system as appropriated in the capital budget ordinances of the city, and any amendments thereto, and specified therein to be expended from the sewer revenue bond improvement fund.
