Notice and documentation for federal lessees

A federal lessee who chooses to pay the city contribution must give the director written notice with proof of the first year's contribution and eligibility. The director can ask for more documents to check this, and must decide eligibility within 30 days. If eligible, the director signs an agreement with the lessee.

(a) A federal lessee who elects to remit the contribution to the city under this article shall provide written notice to the director, supported by documentation to establish the initial annual contribution and the eligibility under this article. (b) The director is authorized to request additional documentation, records, and other information from the federal lessee to establish the initial annual contribution and eligibility, and to verify the amount of the annual contribution and the continued eligibility of the federal lessee under this article. (c) The director shall verify whether the federal lessee is eligible under this article within 30 days of submission by the federal lessee pursuant to subsections (a) and (b). Upon verification of the eligibility of the federal lessee under this article, the director shall execute an agreement with the federal lessee for the contribution to the city consistent with the terms of this article on the date of execution of the federal lease and which shall contain such other terms necessary or appropriate for the implementation of this article.
