What the transit fund money can be spent on

All expenditures from the transit fund shall be used for: (1) Operating or capital costs of a locally preferred alternative for a mass transit project; (2) Expenses in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 with respect to subsection (a) above; and (3) Reimbursement of the general fund or the highway fund by the transit fund for any prior operating or capital expenditures incurred by the general fund or highway fund relating to the development of a locally preferred alternative for a mass transit project. All reimbursements by the transit fund shall be included in the executive operating budget.
